For healthy animals, not only movement is essential. “You are what you eat” is also true in animals. For dogs, it is estimated that 70% is overweight. Obesity in dogs will cause problems with their joints and health for the long run.

In some cases, the patient may be in need of significant nutritional intervention. These likely fall into one of three categories;

  • obese
  • geriatric
  • chronic inflammation (mainly osteoarthritis)
